The weather here has been fantastic up to the last few days.
This fits in well with my routine of taking my step mum for walks and then stopping for a drop of amber nectar afterwards.
She has now become fit enough to walk along the disused railway line, behind where we live, until it crosses the local canal. We then follow the towpath towards town arriving at the canal basin.
Here stands this impressive old building [built by Thomas Telford], which is now an attractive watering hole..
A pleasant place to cool down before tottering back again.
Probably a couple of miles each way.
